The proposal for the Interim Grants Program is now up for vote on Polkassembly, following community discussion. If enacted this program will introduce a new process for issuing grants on the network.
Intended as an interim solution, this change will both improve transparency & increase community input by requiring a vote of GLMR token holders for larger grant decisions until the release of Polkadot Governance v2. The Interim Grants Program was initially proposed by the community & aims to bolster adoption, utilization, & development of Moonbeam as a destination for cross-chain connected smart contracts & apps.
